joins us from daly city with more. monty? >> reporter: good evening. you cannot just walk into the cow palace and walk out with a gun. that's because here in califoia there's a ten-day waiting period. there are, however, no such restrictions on ammunition. i've seen quite a few people walking out with large boxes of ammo just within the last hour. people lined up here, some of them as early as 4:00 a.m. to get into the annual event at the cow palace called the crossroads of the west gun show. gun show organizers claim they had triple the number of people here compared to last year. we have not been able to verify that, but it's fair to say the turnout here was large and the lines during the day were very long. now, as congress looks at a possible ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, there is already such a ban on assault weapons here in california. still the owner of the gun show says the big turnout this year is being fueled by a fear that the nation's gun laws may change in other ways in light of the tragedy in newtown, connecticut. >> the politicians are attempting to

daly city. 51 in concord, 50 degrees in antioch. temperatures are going to get cold once again. freezing conditions. the 40's and 50's. 44 degrees in daly city. 40's in antioch. and as we take a look outside with the san mateo bridge we do have a crystal clear skies and cold air mass. temperatures are going to be in the 20's & '30's, overnight. with freeze warnings and frost advisory's. tomorrow, a little bit warmer we will continue in hall warmer it is going to get, coming up. >> pam: the freezing weather making for dangerous road conditions. ice on the roadway is to blame for this six- car crash in oakland this morning. in the north bay - a 150- foot tall redwood tree fell into a home. this was the scene on baltimore avenue, in larkspur. the tree came down - blocking a roadway - and smashing the two story home, just after 11-am. damage is said to be significant - one person was home at the time - but was not hurt. at last check - some power outages in the area. >> this was just after a 11:00 a.m.. the damages that to be significant. and thank goodness that person was not hurt

exit in daly city. c-h-p says a single car appears to have crashed into a guardrail shortly after 8-15 this evening. authorities say the crash may have caused the vehicle to catch on fire. one person has been transported to s-f general. no word on the victim's condition or if there were any other injuries. also new at 11. two santa rosa brothers are in custody today after firing an assault rifle at a home when they were thrown out from a party early this morning. the shooting was reported shortly before two this morning on lutztown court. police say a tan jeep drove into the area. firing at the house. and then collided with a parked car. the two were involved in a fight at the party and were asked to leave. only to return ten minutes later with an assault rifle. police later located the vehicle and traced it to the apple valley lane apartment complex and arrested alexis rueda and his brother eduardo rueda. the assault rifle was later found in a nearby shed. in east palo alto, a man is recovering after being stabbed this morning. the stabbing happened at an apartment complex on east o'k

our boats this morning to keep our legs warm. 36 degrees in daly city, 37 richmond, a vallejo you are at 31. widespread 30's but as we get closer to summarize these numbers will drop. for this morning it was clear and cold and we had a freeze warning. we will talk about that in just a minute. it will still be a cool day but this evening will be clear with a calm wind. in the north bay and east bay for 9:00 temperatures are expected to be in the '20s and '30s. we could see some slick spots and also said the clara valley is also under the freeze warning. you could see the future color by 8:00 this morning is still in the 30's like oakland livermore san jose. close to the water we're looking at temperatures in the 40's. by noon we can see the blue which means we will still be in the 40's. not a whole lot of warming up today. we will only get up to the upper 50s in some spots. we will have plenty of sunshine though. high pressure is are dominant weather factor here we will see lots of sunshine. i do not see any storms coming through and that seven day forecast. we were talking about a
